How to Make Fewer Subject Line Mistakes

The subject line is a subscriber's first impression of your brand, but the success of those 50 characters goes far beyond the first touch. A successful subject line can lead to building and maintaining a relationship with your subscribers. A un-compelling or unsuccessful subject line can cause spam complaints, a lack of engagement, and eventually deliverability problems. It's important to understand why your users aren't engaging with your messages, and to ensure you are using the proper metrics to measure your email marketing success. List cleaning does not replace permission best practices, so it's important to use double optin and ensure you have permission to email your contacts. Read more at DataValidation >>

Putting the API in Synapp.io

Putting the API in Synapp.io

We recently released an API for our Email Validation platform. API's are all the rage these days, so I thought I would stop and explain a little of the how and why of our API.

When we decided to make this new API, we quickly identified necessary endpoints based on how we expected people to use our system. We also quickly realized that having a "Cookbook" that showed details of how to use our system would probably be very helpful when integrating with new partners.

The Synapp.io Intern Experience - Kush

The Synapp.io Intern Experience - Kush

It was May 12th and the start of my second internship in college. I had skipped breakfast to go over my mental checklist again. Laptop: check, pants: check, false confidence: check. I showed up at the office at 8:45 but it was locked. This gave me an extra 15 minutes to think about how I hadn’t done anything real in Python and remember the names of the people that had interviewed me. It was 9:08 and still, no one was at the office. I triple checked the name on the door, double checked the welcome email and quadruple checked the time. Was this internship just an elaborate practical joke by my roommates?

The Synapp.io Intern Experience - Lin

My experience of interning at Synapp.io was fun and exciting.

The Synapp.io team manages work in a programmable way, and solves questions that matter to the customers.

For example, using Agile Development, stand-ups are held at 10AM every morning. Each member of the team gives a brief talk about what he/she did yesterday and what he/she will be working on today. By doing so, this makes sure everybody is in sync and can easily help each other out when blockers are encountered. I've learned that communication is the key. Talking with each other will ease the possibility of duplication and increase productivity.

The Synapp.io Intern Experience - Goutam

Of the three interns and my other colleagues, I was the youngest in terms of age and experience. To be perfectly honest, there was a sense of intimidation lingering in the air upon my arrival into the Synapp.io cave. However, that sensation dissipated over time as the Synapp’sters were operating not as a corporation, rather as a team. The fluidity with which they operate is impeccable and was completely unexpected.

5 Things I've Learned at synapp.io

I've been with synapp.io for about 3 months. In that time I've learned a lot of things about what makes a company more than just a job. None of these things by themselves are new or groundbreaking, but when they are combined together it makes for a very potent work environment.
